Amy Monea, MSW, RSW

I am a trained therapist and a Registered Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers. I have a Bachelor and Master of Social Work degree through the University of Calgary and began practicing as a therapist in 2011. Since then I have been practicing part time as we also welcomed two children into our family.

Much of my experience has been in the field of mental health (both privately and working within the public system in the past). I have additional training in various methods including EMDR, CBT, Gestalt, Solution Focused and other various methods. I am also one of less than two hundred people worldwide certified in the Equine Gestalt Coaching Method.

More personally, I am a quiet yet direct person who loves horses and the rural way of life. My family and I live on a working cattle ranch near Carstairs.

I believe that in this work I am privy to the greatest stories of love, pain and ultimately resilience of the human spirit, and every time a person chooses to share their story with me, it is a great honour.

Carolyn Miller, MSW, BSW, RSW

I have a Master’s of Social Work with a clinical specialization. I provide therapeutic services across the life span, grounded in an attachment-developmental framework and informed by many theoretical models. My work includes direct intervention with children and adults, parenting support, grief and loss, mental health, permanency planning, adoptions, foster care, transition planning, disabilities, personal growth, and trauma. I have experience working with a broad range of people and life challenges. Additionally, I am certified with Equine Wellness Canada to provide equine assisted learning and mental health services and I have worked alongside horses, dogs and cats as an animal assisted counselling social worker.

I would love to meet you, hear your story and move forward together.
